GET TO KNOW ME
Hello! My name is Monica Yates, and, as a graduate of the University of Mary, I recently received my Professional Teaching License in 5th-12th grade English. I am excited to begin my journey as a teacher, and I look forward to working with my future students and co-workers as we strive for excellence in both our life and in our education.
After spending the early years of my life in California, my family moved to Wyoming when I was 12; I am now happily nestled among beautiful mountains and enjoying the great outdoors.
My family is a core pillar in my life. They have shaped me into the person I am today, and I love and admire them all deeply. My parents instilled into our family a deep love for the Catholic faith, and it is from my faith that I find my strength, my comfort, and my joy.
When I am not learning in the classroom, I enjoy adventures in nature, whether that is rock climbing, skiing, boating, or climbing a mountain with my dog. I also love music, and I am passionate about nutrition and health. I enjoy spending time with my friends, and meeting new people, and I am excited to join a community of educators as we share our enthusiasm for learning, our students, and excellence. Besides love of my faith, my family, and others, I also love animals, chocolate, and Christmas!
